Aloha from Laie, Hawaii...home of the world famous Alii Luau, and a special welcome to those of you who recently saw our Ali'i Luau segment on NBC's Today show. We're pleased to share a few thoughts about a special element of our culture here in Hawaii. Luau's in general, and the Polynesian Cultural Center's Ali'i Luau in particular, are rich in Hawaiian and Polynesian heritage. Indeed, after Hawaii and aloha, luau may be the best-known Hawaiian word in the world. As you learn more about the word and its meaning through this site, you will have the opportunity to experience some of the sites, sounds and food from Hawaii. While coming to the islands to enjoy a luau with us is the dream of a lifetime for many, you can easily bring part of that charm — indeed, the spirit of aloha — into your own home by trying out the following luau recipes from our own Ali'i Luau menu: We hope you enjoy these traditional island dishes. We also hope you experience a luau, and preferrably the Ali'i Luau for yourself before long. Have we talked you into coming yet? Please find more information on the Honolulu luau package options we offer, of course including Hawaii's finest Ali'i Luau. |
